Part Two - Making "Cents" of Lakewood's Finances - This Wednesday!


LakewoodAlive, a citizens' development and advocacy group committed to helping create informed and engaged residents, will present part two of a Spring Speaker Series, Making "Cents" of Lakewood's Finances, on Wednesday, April 16 at 7:00 pm at Harrison Elementary School, 2080 Quail Ave., Lakewood.

The forum panelists include the following Lakewood representatives: Mayor Ed FitzGerald, Finance Director Jennifer Pae, Council President Mike Dever and Council Finance Chair Mike Summers. They will present the 2008 budget for the City of Lakewood.

"This is the first structurally balanced budget passed by Lakewood City Council in over 15 years," noted Jay Foran, president of LakewoodAlive. "We're happy to present Lakewood residents with the opportunity to learn more about the city's financial situation and the budget choices that were made."

Joe Gibbons, a LakewoodAlive founding member, will moderate the forum. The forum is free and advanced registration is not necessary.
