EXP Lakewood iPhone App

LakewoodAlive Announces iPhone App Launch

Experience Lakewood

LakewoodAlive, in partnership with the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce, announces the launch of Experience Lakewood, an iPhone app created by SCK Solutions in Cleveland, Ohio. The app is designed to enhance the visitor experience in Lakewood by linking users to business descriptions, maps and calendars related to dining, shopping, recreation and amenity options in the community. The visitor-friendly app can be downloaded for free on any Apple compatible device such as an iPhone. Over 200 retail businesses, institutions and points of interest can be found on the app that also includes 200 professional services listings.

“Upon meeting with SCK, we immediately saw EXP’s potential to build upon Lakewood’s ‘cool’ status and to support LakewoodAlive’s downtown revitalization efforts by marketing to iPhone users,” said Mary Anne Crampton, LakewoodAlive’s executive director. “Collaborating with the Chamber of Commerce ensures that a broad representation of Lakewood businesses appears in the app.”

Patty Ryan, CEO of Lakewood Chamber of Commerce reports, “The Experience Lakewood app allows the Chamber to offer yet another benefit to its members. All Lakewood-based Chamber members are listed by category and retailers are offered the opportunity to upgrade their business descriptions to include website links, discounts and special events.”

SCK Solutions, based in Tremont, is the creator of the popular Experience Tremont app, which served as the model for Experience Lakewood. The Lakewood app is customized to feature Lakewood’s many assets and includes a “Parking” category to help visitors navigate the city. Every listing is linked to Google Maps, which provides street views, directions from the users’ current location and estimated travel time by car or by foot.

LakewoodAlive is a 501-(c)(3) nonprofit economic development organization that facilitates economic growth and stability in the city of Lakewood, Ohio.
