Keep Lakewood Beautiful has generously funded a Main Street Lakewood pilot program to encourage businesses to display and maintain flower boxes along Detroit Avenue in downtown Lakewood.
The pilot program is testing the feasibility of using self-irrigating window boxes to minimize flower maintenance requirements for our busy downtown merchants. The boxes on the window sill in front of the Chamber of Commerce were planted on July 31st, and have been "watered" three times to-date!
