Three LakewoodAlive members were a part of the inaugural class of five women recognized by Fairview, Lakewood and Lutheran Hospitals as "Simply Wondefrul Women of Accomplishment 2007".

Maureen Arbeznik, principal at Lakewood Catholic Academy, Mary Holland, UBS Financial Services vice president of investments and Lakewood Catholic Academy board member, and Mary Anne Crampton, executive director of Lakewood Community Progress Inc and Lakewood Hospital Foundation board member, were honored on September 29th at the Simply Women, Simply Wonderful event at LaCentre in Westlake. The awards were given "In appreciation of your contribution in making our community the best place to live".

The Community West Foundation made an honorary contribution of $500 on behalf of each of the women. Maureen and Mary donated their award to Lakewood Catholic Academy. Mary Anne's award went to the Fund for Public Art at Lakewood Public Library. The other honorees were Rocky River mayor, Pamela Bobst and Dr. Debra Pratt, medical director of the Cleveland Clinic Cancer Center Breast Health Center.
